Ifa Yoruba Contemporary Arts Trust becomes Yoruba Contemporary Arts Trust

Heading towards our 30th year, times have changed so much, we believe that a name change is integral to reaching more people across various divides with our cultural activities.  Hence the reason why our name is changing from Ifa Yoruba Contemporary Arts Trust (IYCAT) to Yoruba Contemporary Arts Trust (YCAT)

“Even though Ifa isn’t a religion, but an artistic and scientific way of looking at the universe, we believe that the new name will open the organization to more people,”
Lekan Babalola  Artistic Director, Yoruba Arts Foundation.

Even though our name has changed, we remain committed to our mission “to foster the development of Yoruba arts, particularly its relationship with the African Diaspora and culture, and encourage this re-connection to ourselves through contemporary Art.” We are focused on producing groundbreaking and thought-provoking arts and educational projects,  as we continue to work with the best creatives across the world.

More than ever, we are committed to this through our various expressions–our community musical performances and educational activities.  We hope to see you at our events soon!
